*scartches head sheepishly*, erm me again,
this is a just in case/what if... I wanted to add chapters to a fic entered already as part of the Challenge.
If say, I use the fic posted as a prologue or first chapter and let it remain untouched I just add chapters to it,
I will understand that only the Chapter that I sent in (first), will be the one counted (for the Challenge),
However, I will also understand if I am advised not proceed with such a step, and Admin has every right to nullify the entry for said Challenge.
I have not as yet, but was just wondering, what if I ever get inspired to add to a fic already posted as an entry for the Challenge.
Suggestions?
Thank you - *runs away and hides*

narrizan, sorry to take so long to get back to you regarding your question, RL seems to be keeping most of us much too busy.
A story belongs to you and once a contest is over you are free to go back and edit, change, or add to it.
If the story in question is your current one, we will be closing voting very soon. We had left it open in the hopes that more of your fellow members would vote.

Hey, no problems on that! (Having two children plus a hubby who may as well be a child sometimes! ) I can understand how RL can keep us all busy! Thank you for answering the question. As to the voting, in spite of lack of participation these days, I hope Admin doesn't do away with the '42 days'. I really do enjoy doing those. (I find the grammar ones hard but it makes me sit down and think through more about how I put things down instead of just writing the story flat out as I am wont to do!) Once again thank you. zan

Admin, I have to agree with zan. Even though the lack of voting was disheartening, I love the challenge of writing on a set topic and under certain guidelines. I know that the three of us (zan, Otakuprincess and I) especially enjoy the challenges you set forth. Please continue to post new ones.

Well, I know that I have no right to say this, but I would really look forward to another challenge, even if no one votes. I just feel that I need some kind of writing challenge to set my mind at ease, don't know why though.

This is just to get a few things set in my onw mind really.
When you mean inner monologue, you mean have the character talk to themselves at different parts of their lives? For example, I could have Hakkai talk to himself with things that happend to himself in the past, present and future, or would I have to do only his past? Or could I even have himself talk to Gonou (I do have a good idea going with this, even if I can't use it).
Anyway, could I also have other charaters present in the story, or would it just have to be the one? If so, could I have romance as the main theam without a lemon or lime?

Yes, you could have Hakkai talk to himself. Think of it as a type of "Breakroom" environment, where he can meet himself. As for other characters present... yes and no. You can't have your character of choice interacting or reacting to others, but for the reader, it would be like watching a person having a conversation on the phone - you only can guess what the other side said by observing the reactings of the person who holds the receiver. Of course, you can have "me, myself and I" witness the same things, hear the same, see the same, and then talk about it. But no direct speech or action from a third person from the perspective of the reader. I understand that this could be kind of difficult, but it's an excellent exercise.

Help!....aargh, my story has disappeared! I've checked it on the live preview and it shows up but someone was asking me where it had gone, because they wanted to see it. admittedly I did have problems uploading it last night.(it took me forever) and in the end at first it gave me two story id's for it. then I checked to see which one worked. it's the one with 2950062, but now it doesn't work ....aaaaaaghhhh!!!! help! I really don't want to have to plough through the ff thing again. it took me till nearly 3 am this morning. it's those damn pc gremlins again. they must really really have it in for me! sorry, i'm hoping it's just a temporary glitch and that if I ignore it for a day it will go away. if not I will try uploading the story again. *sigh* zan out! ps- the other thing when someone is able to read it I hope it qualifies. Dialogue out of everything is hard for me to do, and usually I try to avoid it if I can!

Don't worry about it I think I will pull out the story and reupload it and see what happens, there are a few things I need to fix anyhow! Sorry for the bother. Just me and IT at loggerheads again.! tired zan out! edit: ok third time lucky...i hope it works this time. I've had to pull off the story twice and this will be the third time! here we go! latest edit : some kind soul has pointed out a few (3) technical errors, on the fic...but as I've had the nightmarest time trying to post it up in the first place...I do apologise greatly that I won't be attempting editing it. I know this will probably not stand me in good stead. but I'm sorry I JUST DON"T want to tackle ff so soon again! i did manage to correct the piece over at 'Echoes from the West' site, so once the mods pass it, if you really, really want, you could check it out there. I'll check back here with a link when it's up over there. It takes awhile sometimes over there that's all! zan , once again! *runs and hides*

Ok, me again! Apologies to admin if this is tiresome. Sorry! Anyway, I have actually written another story, and I wanted to know if it qualified. I have used two characters, but neither know of each's soliloquy. So I guess I'm just asking if someone would check it out and say whether it qualifies. I know folk are busy, RL can be hectic I know. Since there's no deadline on this at the moment, I guess I can wait on it! Anyway details are as follows: Title : Smoke and Memories Author : narrizan Summary: Sanzo and Gojyo are more alike than they would ever admit. Non-slash. Ratings : K+ (for some swearing) URL : www.fanfiction.net/s/2960842/1/*crosses fingers & prays*. For link to work and for validation. I humbly thank you and apologise once again for the inconvenience.

zan, I believe this story does fulfill the requirements of the contest. Even though Sanzo and Gojyo are aware of/reminded about each other through the sounds the other makes, they are not discussing with each other what they are thinking about. You also have both Sanzo and Gojyo discussing points in their lives with themselves at two different points in time, basically before and after the pivotal events in their lives. GlobalMod2
