cesmith: thanks. I'm going back to Malaysia for all the holiday break - the first one is really soon, I go back in two weeks! It's so good.
Thank, Me-Nuriko. ;D I love birthdays. Anyone here not?
B_D: Nasi lemak? Oh, I think some of the girls here would have strangled me for that. ;D There's quite a few M'sians here, y'know. About the 'gotten'...well, I really don't know. I could've sworn it was right.
Apparently there's a thief in the boarding house. Some of Michelle's stuff is missing, and some's been vandalized. Melissa has lost $60. (that's about US$40). She might have genuinely lost it. Paris lost her phone and Katherine found it under her bed. Katherine's bed. Hum.

Yay! My mum's here! As in, here in melbourne. =D She flew in on Friday, with my lil brother, and they fly out with me Friday midnight. ;D So happy. Went shopping and bought some new shoes....the world is generally quite good for me at the moment. I scored my first ever 100% on a science test the other day - it was so easy, though - and got back my camp journal - an A, I'm so proud! but not an A+ - and did a geography test, which I'm not sure I did well in. Sadly have a first aid exam tomorrow.... Bleaugh. Failure is imminent. Also have a history test which I'm also a bit dead for. >w< Just finished my RE essay (meant to be 1000 words but went...a bit over: 2124...yikes) and have finished a 1000 word report for science. *sweatdrop* I'm surprised I have fingers left, I've been typing all night. Oh, God...rambling....again...why would you be interested in school....eh....hmmm....good question. Oh well. Rambling can't be helped. Oooh! Did I say? I found a fellow Saiyuki fan!!!! Fave character is hakkai. ;D I'm not sure what her name is, though...I think it's Esther. Should try and figure that one out. >< luv yaz all ed

Rrrrrrr. Angry. Alison in my room wants to room with Shayna next term (annoyed she just came up to me and said, 'Do you mind rooming with Charmaine (Shayna's roomie) next term, coz Shayna and I wanna share.') but now, all of a sudden, she wants to move in tonight!!! I was like, arrgh! She's so selfish! And today she was seeing a guy called Nathaniel (no comments, b_d!!) at Camberwell, and she came back at something like 6:10, and we have to be back at 5:30!!! She was all 'I'm so sorry, the taxi broke down...' to the teachers, and she didn't get punished, whereas Steph and some friends came back at 5:45 once and got gated for the whole weekend. So not fair. *growls* And Melissa, the cahmp swimmer, has National on Monday, so she has to sleep, and Alison was talking all night, practiacally!!! I'm so annoyed coz I really want Mel to do good. Rrrr. Just having a hate-Alison moment. Don't mind me. On the bright side, I got a 10/10 on my science powerpoint presentation!!! So did Joycelyn, though. >w< Also did a history test. Was pretty bad....31 out of 40 or somthing. Handed in my RE essay and my science essay today. Very proud. Oh, turns out that "Esther"'s name is Serene. *snort* Oops. Going back to Malaysia so soon! Yay!!! =D Can't wait to see everyone....bet as soon as I see my friends I'll burst into floods of tears ....oh well, can't be helped. ;D Going back, going back, going back.....*goes off to celebrate and pack*

You sound so happy to be back home. I hope you enjoy visiting your friends and all the wonderful places you listed. Don't worry about us being bored by your rambling. It's nice to see someone so excited about their life, whether it's something good or bad. Please keep sharing.

Lol...so sweet. I love all you guys here. Great people. ;D Group hug!!! Well, I got back from Cambodia on Friday. Amazing place, seriously. Go there, if you're interested in...well, anything really. I'll try not to sound like a Lonely Planet book. But it's really, really interesting, to see these amazing cities and temples built a millenium ago, and they're still standing (with help, in some cases). I am simply stunned that people manages to dig all this architecture out of the jungle. One temple we went to was still half overgrown...there were these huge piles of enormous chunks of stone, left just as they fell...we were only allowed around three side of the temple because they hadn't cleared the other of landmines. *shudders* Cambodia also has a social history....there was a civil war just thirty years ago. It is still very undeveloped - cars are certainly in the minority to motorbikes, and occasionally you see even bicycles in Phnom Penh (the capital) in normal intersections. The country seems to have a lot of funding from others...especially Japan, China and France. Oh, I said I wouldn't Lonely Planet it all. >.< Back in Malaysia now...I fly home tonight. *sob* 2100 Sunday flight. I'll arrive in Melbourne about 6am Monday, and then I go back to the boarding house on Tuesday. Classes begin on Wednesday. Yay.

Back in school now. Joy.
The flight back was ...okay. I was sitting next to a girl in my human stufies class at PLC!!!! Spooky coincidence. She's nice enough...we chatted for a while, I watched Meet the Fockers (damn that's one funny movie!! I loved the football "match"!!) and promptly had the best sleep I've ever had on a plane. Breezed through customs and everything....No problems travelling solo. I was more excited than nervous in the first place, really....The only other time I've flown by myself was when i was about eight; I flew to Brisbane, but since it was a domestic flight I didn't need to do much, and I had one of thse hostess-girls.
I arrived in Melbourne icy-cold at about 7:30. That's 7:30 am. In the morning. *shudder* And of course my aunt, uncle, and both cousins turned up to meet me. I was hoping it would be just my uncle...he's nice, andd that would mean less people to try to "smile" at. (I am not a morning person.)
I'm actually quite proud of myself....last term we had to cram all our stuff into our cupboards or take it home, and I unpacked all that plus my suitcase stuff in one afternoon. *bow* Never have I managed such a tremendous feat before. Don't expect I'll ever do it again, really. Oh well.
Dad's gotten me to edit his complaint letter to Malaysia Airlines....his gramar is shocking, but all he said was, "Find another word....I've used incompetent about eight times already." Now I'm retyping it. Should I fax it or email it?
Ta-ta!

Quote: His gramar is terrible.
*cough-hypocrite-cough* Joke. I think you should e-mail it to your dad first, so he can edit it without retyping everything.

I emailed it to him last night, as he left a few blanks in it and I wasn't sure what he wanted to put in them. So I went beta-ish and put areas to look at in blue text. As for snail mail...nuh-uh. To be frank, he needs to send it off quick and email is just easier...can't really trust Malaysian mail. B_D: He wouldn't have to retype it. We have a scanner...and a program which in theory can recognise characters so that you don't have to type it up...but it doesn't work too well. That's why I emailed it. =)

Saw her reading Inuyasha - I saw the word Kagome and fell over. Seriously. Go post there, people. At least Echoes from the West isn't blocked, and some other sites I know...I found a site with D-chan's stuff (I am very fond of your stuff, D-chan!!!) so I was very happy...and I fell over again when I saw OptiMoose's stuff at EftW....*bounceybouncey* Lol....gotta go. Joy...Not the best week. Today, my dearest friends, is Saturday. Tonight. Depends where you are. I'm at a friend's place for the weekend, and she's off watching some Iron Chef show while I catch up on ff.net's latest postings. I got an alert for "If" this morning, so off I go. =) I hate having ff.net blocked, but at least there's plenty of good stuff at Echoes from the West, which thank GOD I can access. And if anyone knows where I can find good Reload scanlations, you are so...I dunno. But you deserve a very biiiig hug. ;D
Anyway, not the best of weeks. Had two maths common tests on Tuesday and Wednesday (did okay in Skills, I hope, but certainly messed up a bit in Analysis) and a science test on Friday (I know I lost two marks! It was on the nervous and endocrine systems, woohoo). Officially hate my new Art teacher and my not-so-new French teacher. She isn't actually our proper teacher, a student teacher I think. I hate her guts. Literally.
Got an english essay back for some analysis of Bend it like Beckham - A+ - pleasing, but tiring. I want to seriously muck up something - like, write two lines on a 1000-word essay, and see if she still gives it an A. Grrh.
Oooh!! Had community action this week!! So cuute...I went to help at the local Baptist childcare centre...so cute. Partnered up with Li-Ling...they trust us so much! The school, that is...they just say, go hop on a tram/bus/walk/whatever, and get there, and do community action. We could all be out there doing drugs or something...though it would be at, like, two in the afternoon...
Well, goota go, as friend has dial-up...toodleoo!!

Saw Star Wars and it rocked my socks off!! Wasn't supposed to be there (not allowed) but hey.... Got my maths Common Test score back!! 95% in Skills (that's the direct questions, like "Factorise: 4x 2+5x+4") and 84% or 86% in Analysis (word questions). So I'm moving up a class!! Yay!! (Finally...) Had a very pleasant breakdown over the phone to my mum the other day...and then she started crying and I felt so bad....waaahh.....And I have flu. Even better. And...JOY.....I have a compulsory Science essay to write, and I need some help!! It's a creative essay and I have a choice of either of the following topics: "From waste to Power" or "The world runs out of Fossil Fuels." Help? Fossil fules, if you didn't know, are oil, coal and natural gas, and provide the majority of today's energy. They greatly pollute the environment and will one day run out. As it's a creative essay (like, there has to be a genre and stuff), I felt that the Fossil Fuels one would be easier, as I feel like I could use Real People, more than I could with Waste to Power. In WtP, I feel like I'd be writing an essay exploring the topic, but not anything involving people, you know? But the thing is, the Fossil fuels idea is way too broad...sorta. Like, I suppose you could specialise with certain areas and Actual People, but I was talking to my dad... he said, maybe Wate to power idea would be better, because you can specialise. He suggested the sugarcane industry, because all the waste from the sugarcane itself, is burnt or something for methane and stuff. Apparently it's a really big thing, and most surprising, I think I've actually heard of it...Odd. Hrm. I've had a few ideas, and one random idea I came up with for running the world out of fossil fuels is this (it still requires a little research, obviously): Terrorists blow up the areas where the majority of the world's oil comes from: the Middle-East. I know the American troops have been doing that for years, but....still. I hope you get my point. Any ideas? Anything welcome.... Whoa...long post...sozzies....
