Name of the anime: Ghost in the Shell Genre: this stumped me, I suppose it's got a fair amount of action, but I like it for the philosophy Brief Summary of what the anime is about: This is a vast exploration on how technology really effects modern society, the ways in which we interact with each-other (or avoid doing so), ways in which technology can be used either for good or (more often explored) ill. Warnings: I haven't seen much of the anime, but I don't think there's anything to warn about (not major in the "blood" or "disturbingly violent" or whatnot). What do you like about the anime: An anime that doesn't rely on physical attraction to the main characters, every episode has a core theme exploring human nature and its expression between humans, with bonus extra philosophical musings in the mean-time (heavily by my favorite "characters", the tachicomas).
