In the case of the authors, we would just ignore one of the 1 point votes each, otherwise it will put off the vote. Heh. You beat me to it...I did a bit of number crunching on it this weekend and that was what I realized.

That sounds like a reasonable solution to me. Does everyone agree on the change in procedure?

But GUYS!!! You are killing me I already did the 1 point thing.
I knew I should have waited till the end of the month to do my vote casting. I should hwve been the faerie that waited so i could change to wicked curse. Sigggggggghhhhhhhhhhh.
So what does someone that followed Directions do?

It doesn't matter about the one point thing. I didn't count one 1 point vote for each contestant. So all your votes still carry the same weight, except for that one 1 point vote for yourself which is thrown out. Does that make sense? Or do I need to show the math?

No, it makes sense and the weighted totals makes it easy to offset the differing amount of votes for the stories.
I vote in favor of the change.

I also vote in favor of the weighted average. It makes it fair incase people didn't read and vote for different fics because they weren't familiar with the fandom.

Of course I agree with this. It's the most fair solution.

It seems like no one else is going to vote, anyway. *sigh* So, the votes count weighted. To everyone who hasn't voted on the stories yet: PLEASE VOTE on all the stories. Your opinion is important. Challenge #2 is open for submissions, btw.

It seems like there are only 9 people who bother to leave votes for everyone, anyway... with 48 people on the board, that makes me feel kind of sad. *sigh*
I had hoped that the contest would create more feedback amongst the people who registered...
