I just checked this site... www.animenfo.com/animeseiyuu,68,ztjvli,yamaguchi_kappe.html for Yamaguchi Kappei and I found out that he is Inuyasha. He's also done several other series that I have watched, but they were all dubbed in English, so I haven't heard his voice except for the couple of episodes of DeathNote that I watched.
This year if I get to go, I would like to get to the panels where the Anime companies announce the shows they plan on licensing. It was also fun to see the fan subbed versions of soon to be released anime. We got to see Devil May Cry last year and even though I had seen the whole series, it was fun seeing the crowds reaction to an amime I had enjoyed.
The panel I will avoid this year is the fan writing one. It has really been a waste of time both years. I had hoped for pointers on writing but it was really just pointless discussions about how much everyone hates Mary Sue stories and sort of blasting other writers.

I knew I had remembered his name!! I have watched Inuyasha in both Japanese and English and I try to look at the credits to who plays the characters voices and that is how I remembered him cause of course he played Inuyasha. LOL!!! Most of the anime I have watched with the exception of Inu and Ranma have been in English via Adult swim.
If I can't get to the convention this year, I am gonna have to make my hubby take me to those japanese stores you have talked about. I think maybe he is a bit afraid to get me into either one of those places because I would go wild. LOL!!! He does like anime just not as much as I do.
That would be great to see the up and coming anime and everything. That is a shame about the fan writing one cause I am sure alot of people go in there to learn how to write better fanfiction. You know I don't think anyone should bash another writer just because they may not be as good as others. That is a big reason why I keep holding back on writing a story. I have been wanting to write a story but am not the greatest of writers so am having a hard time trying to get it together. The idea I have its just getting the story itself together. I admire anyone that can put a story up regardless of how good it is written. Even though I didn't know the characters in your story I thought they were very good. I think if someone has something helpful for the writer than by all means tell them but to just write to them to put them down and tell them how bad they think their story is is just very rude and no reason for it.
Hope you are having a great day!! Hope to talk to you soon. It seems no one else wants to talk to me on here. Got alot of views but noone says anything. Well maybe one day they will speak.

I've gotten pretty good at recognizing both the English and Japanese voice actors in their different roles. The Anime Network carries mostly ADV shows so their voices are the ones I recognize the easiest. My favorite Japanese seiyuu is Ishida Akira. He voices Hakkai from Saiyuki and his voice is dreamy in nearly everything. *big fangirl sigh* ;D
I don't like to discourage anyone from writing. It's only through practice that we get better (and thank you again for the compliments). That's one of the great things about a beta reader, the questions they ask and the suggestions they make improve the story and help with our writing. If you do get a chance to write something I wouldn't mind looking at it for you.
This site is wonderful for buying manga (If you pre-order them you can save 30 % on many of them, but not all of them offer the discount, you need to check carefully. The great thing about pre-orders is if you order enough there is no shipping charge and they don't charge tax which is another 7% or so savings.)and anime and even collectibles (though many of their figurines are very expensive).

The nice thing about my collecting figurines and pins is that my husband is as big a fan as I am and sometimes I am the one reminding him that our budget just can't afford it .
There was a time this site was very active but the founders have all gone their ways and the people that I originally wrote for have for the most part left fanfiction. Hopefully some of the people passing through will leave a comment here or there.

Thank you so much for showing me that site. I will have to start ordering me some anime stuff from it. I have bought alot of my anime stuff from either ebay or deepdiscount dvds or viz. So I am always glad to find another site. I really appreciate you saying you would take a look at my story when I got it together. Thank You!!! Like I said I got the idea I want to do now I just have to see how I can make it into a story. Thank You again!! Well I sure hope someone drops a note soon. It would be great for this site to get active again. Maybe some good advertising would work. I found this message board when I was looking into animespiral. How weird is that?? Well I hope you have a great nite. Yashalove

Between the site being down and my daughter's wedding, I can't believe how long it's been since I left a post.
The site always seems to have visitors and we've even had new people joining, it's just that you were the first to ever leave a comment.
Have you had any luck writing your ideas? In 2 more weeks school will be out and then hopefully I will try to set up a routine for myself that will include writing time. I really want to finish my current story, The Debt. I need to work out the last chapter or two.

Hey There!! I bet you have been really busy with the wedding and all. I remember getting reading for my daughter's wedding, I hardly had time to sit down. I have been a little MIA myself for a few days. Had to get a few things straightened around here plus we had a really bad storm so it interupted my internet. Life just seems to get in the way of what you would really like to do.
I have started writing the story. The thing is I am really not that great of a writer so I have been trying to write it so it doesn't sound stupid. Maybe I should start off with a one-shot and then try to work on a full story. What do you think?
I am really glad to hear from you. I wonder why people join and don't write in? That has really always amazed me about these forums. I mean if you ain't gonna talk why join!! LOL!!! Well hope to hear from you soon. Let me know when your story is done. Take Care!!

You can really only improve if you practice and try. I learned so much from Kanshu, Me-Nuriko, Karotsamused and Zelgadis55. For me, the hardest part is getting ideas for stories to write. I'm a bit envious of people that have so many ideas.
As for starting with a one-shot or longer story, I guess that would depend on the idea you have and whether it would work either way. As you can see, a lot of mine are one-shots and one of them (The Pass) started out as a one-shot but grew into two chapters. I USUALLY try to have the story completely finished before posting, The Debt is my only exception. I had hoped by posting it before I was finished that I would get over my lack of motivation to write. It did in that I wrote the next chapter but I'm having trouble deciding how I want to finish it. I have 2 options that I think would work so I might just write both and see which I like more. There is only six more days of nursery school so after that my days will belong to me for 2 1/2 months.

Well I am thinking that this idea I have needs to be a full story. I really don't see it as a one-shot. Maybe I can come up with a one-shot while I am working on this story. I would really like to wait to start posting it too until I have it complete. I really hate that you get interested in a story and then the author never finishes it for whatever reason. I can think of ideas for a story it is just writing it out in a story form that is interesting and doesn't sound stupid is my problem. As you probably guessed I am writing an Inuyasha story but I am doing and AU story of it. I think with AU stories you have a little more lead way with the plot and write now I think that will be a little more easier for me, so I am not so restricted as to how the story should go. You know when I was in school English and Literature were my best subjects, I guess to write a story it takes more than that!!!LOL I am glad you will be free to write soon. I think your stories were very good. Even though I didn't know the characters or nothing of the original story I found it very interesting. I am gonna have to get the anime and watch that sometime soon. I do know that trying to write the story and get an idea for one can be very frustrating though but don't stop cause of that just a little thing called writers block. The fanfiction community would lose a very good writer if you did. Take Care!!! Yashalove

As strange as it sounds, I get some of my best ideas while driving. I carry pen and paper with me to jot down the idea the second I have the chance and I usually keep working out the dialog in my head (out loud if I'm alone) so I won't forget it. The first time I got an idea that *had to be written IMMEDIATELY or I was going to burst* was when I was going Christmas shopping with my Husband. I had a pen but no paper so I wrote on paper towels. I still have them as a reminder to why my car is permanently stocked with notebooks. I even wrote while walking home from work one day. I hadn't been able to think of a way to end a story and 1/2 way through the 3 mile walk it hit me. The motorists must have thought how strange I looked, writing while walking. For my longer stories I like to map out what I hope to cover in each chapter. Some chapters have a mind of their own but it gives me an idea of my goal for that section and sometimes I get ideas for a later chapter when I'm stumped for the one I should be writing.

Sorry it's been so long since I wrote!! Got a little busy. We had some bad storms and a tree hit the side of our house so have been trying to estimates and stuff for the insurance company. That is all really good advice about ideas on a story!! I think I will have to get more notebooks!! LOL!! The ideas about what kind of story I am looking for come pretty easy. It is getting it written down so it doesn't sound stupid or boring that is the hard part. I am a avid reader but writing really makes you have alot of respect for all authors out there!!
I hope you are doing well. Have missed our conversations!! Hope to hear from you soon!!!

I hope all is well and that you have solved your tree problems. We just had 6 trees taken down because they were diseased and rotting out.
The nice thing about having a beta, especially when you are first starting out, is that they ask questions to bring out more details and to help you cut areas that are run-on. It's also good because they can catch grammar and spelling errors that Word misses.
Well, as of now, unless we somehow win the lottery, it appears that we will not be making Otakon this year. Oh well, there is always next year.
