No, there is none posted yet (but I will take all the help I can get.) I'm working on a few one-shots, as well as one longer story with quite a complicated plot. (That's scary in and of itself; most of my plots are pretty straightforward and simple.) Anyway, I'm breaking into a new fandom. I could use all the help and encouragement I can possibly find. *is nervous* Kellen

Don't worry about it! From my experience, the Inuyasha fandom is so phenomenally vast that if by some random chance you screw up a fiction the stigma's not with you for long. It's all about jumping in there, right? But if you want, put some of your ideas up and bounce 'em around with us. It couldn't hurt

Yeah yeah, we loves ideas!! I actually love a new Inuyasha story that I can read.
Just be aware that their are pitchfork brigades roaming the Inuyasha fandom. No one seems to know why, but the more talented and well written your story the more likely they are to come after you. WE will protect you if we can though.
I know I am willing to help anyone with encouragement!

Oh pitchfork brigades. How pathetically fun. *sharpens own pitchfork and checks fire extinguisher* It seems they rotate fandoms every once in awhile; I had to avoid a few in LotR.
Anyway, the characters I want to work with are Inuyasha and Sango (not romantically involved) and my forte is humor, but I'm usually pretty good in angst and I'm trying to get my action & drama up to standard. I did have some ideas basing some one-shots upon some of Edgar Allen Poe's work (Nothing blatant. LoL)
Yeah, I know... that's very general, but I'm watching Dreamcatcher... I love Stephen King. Read the book, but hadn't seen the movie. P'raps I'll end up with some bunnies. Watching TV now... eating... and trying to keep the cat from jumping on my food and/or laptop...

I'd love to help out! Feel free to bounce ideas around, and I'm sure all of us here wouldn't mind giving you a hand or some input (or both...). I'm sure you'll do fine-- you seem to be enough of a "fic nazi" ( ) to have a good idea of what is and isn't acceptable in the IY realm! Good luck with the plot bunnies! Bwahahahahaha!

LoL, I suppose I am a fic nazi. *giggles*
I have been challenged to write a humor one-shot featuring Inuyasha and one other character around the lines "Wait. Why do I smell fruit?" and "That did not just happen...did it?" It must involve grass stains and an obnoxious cat.
*scratches head* How my wonderfully demented friend came up with that shining example of randomosity, I'm not sure. *stares forlornly at blank Word doc* I would say this is impossibly, but I created a three chapter romp from a demon-posessed cheese wheel...
And do I really want to christen my breaking into the Inuyasha fandom with a humor fic?
Wait. This is Kellen. Of course I will... I have a reputation to maintain, y'know. LoL.
Any ideas y'all'd like to toss out? Pertaining to the challenge or not (Or if you want to try the challenge yourself; I won't mind. I'll still strive to come up with something for my demented friend.)
cheers!

Inu, Sango, cat, fruit, grassstains... Oi. What was your friend smoking? Inuyasha dreams (or doesn't dream, whtever suits the story better. ). He's laying on a lawn, staring into the clouds and ponders (whatever he ponders), when suddenly a whiff distracts him. It's sweet, it's fresh, it's... "Wait, why do I smell fruit?" And he's right, he should not smell fruit, since there's no fruit around anywhere. (*swats down plotbunnies that suggest that he could also stick his nose someplace and smell melons (Sango's? )*) It turns out that the smell emits from a cat. Now, we all know that cats and dogs don't like each other. Inu doesn't like the cat, but the cat likes Inu. It's getting rather obnoxious, even fan-girlish, and pounces our big dangerous half demon, who lands on his butt and ends up with grass stains all over his butt. The cat slurps over his face, and *puff* turns into Sango. Before she can explain what happened, Kagome and Miroku show up. Inu wakes up. *sigh* Okay, not a very good plot, I admit. I need a bit time thinking about this...

I'm not sure what she was smoking, but I think I want some. LoL. Sniffing...melons *blinks at the mental images* Oh, my... *laughs hysterically*

That sounds very much more like a Miroku fantasy dream than anything else, grass stains aside. ("Oh, mrow, houshii-sama, is that your staff or are you happy to see me?")
A very disturbing thing to a dog demon would probably be if Kagome permeated herself with a new scent. Sure, she'd still smell like Kagome, but when Inuyasha's not paying attention... "Wait...why do I smell fruit?"
I am also tempted to make bad Sesshoumaru-fruit jokes, but I'll just refrain. ;D

*giggles*
What would be really bad is if it, for some reason, smelled like rotten fruit.
*pauses*
Light bulb... must write...

Anybody wish to help me out with a short action-y story I'm working on? Main characters are Inuyasha and Kirara. Uh, no romantic pairing (although if someone came up with a believable Inuyasha/Kirara pairing, I'd be... something... I'm not entirely sure...)
Basic plot: (ooh, a cliche's coming; brace yourself) It's the night of the new moon, and Inuyasha's self-appointed guardian is Kirara. When they find themselves in the crossfire of battling demons, there's sure to be trouble. *scratches head* Trouble of what sort, I'm not entirely sure yet...
Anyway, let me know if you're interested; I'd love to hash out a few things (like how in the heck do I write Kirara? And how to write a story in which only one of my characters actually speaks?)
I told you I liked to challenge myself. It's the only way I learn.
cheers,Kellen

One of the ways you could get around the lack of speaking or kirara's part is write the whole thing from her point of view. Which could be very amusing since I'm sure her view on life is very different for an average humans. That way she could have a running dialogue in her head and be annoyed when inuyasha just doesn't get what she's trying to communicate.
MAkes one wonder about just how much the New Moon affects the way inuyasha thinks.... Argh!!! no!!!! *beats the plot bunny* I've got another one now... *whimper*
As to the real antagonist of the piece it depends you could have it revolve around kirara's frustration with inuyasha
IT could be that that Kirara is the only one who can communicate with youkai which would leave inuyasha in the dark.
Kirara could know the youkai they you could have a sequence were she's trying to convince them not to kill each other. Dunno how you would end this one though.
meh, that is all I can think of atm sorry my head is feeling pretty awful atm.

Kirara's pov...
I hadn't thought of that. Now that's interesting. Very interesting. I spent some time at work this morning playing about with that.
That'll be a challenge. *grins* I like challenges.

...My forte is humor, but I'm usually pretty good in angst and I'm trying to get my action & drama up to standard. Humor, that's one thing that I'm worried about in my fics. I'm a rather serious author, and although I think I'm pretty good at setting up a tense scene, I know that you can't have a long story that constantly has only increasing tension, it needs be broken up occasionally by humor. Hmmm. Something like co-authoring? LoL, I suppose I am a fic nazi. Fic nazi? I've heard of grammar nazi, essay nazi (like my English 101 teacher), but I have no idea what a 'fic nazi' is. That'll be a challenge. *grins* I like challenges. So do I. Is there a club for this with jackets? ;D Anyway, I think it's pretty safe to say that I'm really into Inuyasha, so if you need any help I'd be glad to lend a hand.
