Hai, minna-san... Eto, not sure if anyone knows me. Anyhow, how do you do? Hope you guys are doing A-ok... Well, since I've got my own lil board now, first and foremost would like to thank the moderator for granting this favor and so very sorry for troubling you (with regards to the pen name, ya). Ok, so a bit about me then. I started writing last year, in September, two months after I got cable. I'm still relatively new to the anime/manga world. Even though I've watched CCS, Digimon, Pokemon, Doraemon and other kiddy animes before, I thought of them as nothing more than cartoons. But when I got cable, the first anime I had the privilege of watching was Rurouni Kenshin. I loved it and after RK finished its run, Ranma 1/2 took over. And when Ranma 1/2 was over, Gensomaden Saiyuki aired. At first, I didn't want to watch Saiyuki, mostly because I thought it was just a silly remake of the Chinese Journey to the West. My siblings watched the first few episodes and liked it but I was still stubborn. Then probably because it's Fated, one day, I happened to sit with my siblings and watched the opening song. And instantly, I fell in love with Hakkai (who was smiling as he fired a chi blast). I was sooo smitten with him that after a few episodes, I went online and gathered as much info as I could on Saiyuki. And then I came across a couple of GojyoxHakkai fics, and I was horrified, thinking that what I read got omitted from the anime or something. But one of the stories linked back to FFnet and it is then I realized what I read were just stories. My first story was one titled Gojyo's Wish. It was a clean story, IMHO, but a reviewer said she liked it though it was shounen-ai (585 btw). I was essentially naive so I asked her what does shounen-ai mean. She explained, along with yaoi and stuff. I had two straight fics put up after that but I realized that most readers are not into such things. So I began experimenting with various pairings, though I had one fave pairing by then. Six fics later (mix of one-shots and multi-parts), I finally did my first 383 fic. And well, as the saying goes, the rest is history.... Heh, this has been such a long intro post. Well, anyways... thanks for reading!! Till the next post, I guess.... -rasinah-

Welcome!!!! Sounds like you'll fit in around here. I'm sure you didn't bother the admin any at all. ^^ While I will admit I haven't read your stuff yet, don't let people pressure you into writing boy's love. I personally read both Boy's Love and not. Though there are some series in which I refuse to read Boy's Love. Rurouni Kenshin being one of them. I just don't want to read about Kenshin with anyone other that Kouru or Tomoe. Your intro isn't too long. Hope to see you in the different threads around the board. ;D

Mou, wish I had met you earlier. I tell ya, the first few months in FFnet, a naive girl like me is easily influenced, ne. And thus I was corrupted. Heehee.... I agree with you on RK. I can't see Kenshin with Sano or whoever (guys, I mean) other than Kaoru. The same goes for D N Angel - Niwa is with Riku, end of story! But well, it's personal preferences, ne. Now Saiyuki is a diff story; the possibilities for various sh-ai pairings are just there. Heehee ;D Thanks for your kind welcome. Really appreciate it!

Hiho. Welcome to the world of strange people and weird ideas. Well, if you're ever up to write non-boy's love Saiyuki again, please feel free to do so. I'm pretty much sick'n tired of the 25thousandmillion who-fucks-who ficts... to the point where I'm not reading anything Saiyuki because of it. Oh, btw... did you know that "shonen-ai" means 'pedophile&into boys" in Japan? What's called "shonen-ai here is called "boy's love" in Japan.

Actually, I am getting a bit tired of shonen-ai stories without class, which are usually done by the very young and very new fanfic writers. I mean no offense to anyone, I'm just saying. I like boy/boy romance, don't get me wrong, it's just that some of these stories with m/m sex are starting to get pointless.
Anyway, I'm starting to get a bit off topic. Hello and welcome, I hope you like it here, and if you have any stories you would like me to read, let me know. I'm always looking for something to read. I read at least two new fanfics a day, I love reading them.

Hello and welcome. I hope you enjoy the board. Your intro was just right. It's always nice to know something about the authors and what got them started in writing. (I am one of the few non-authors on this message board)
OptiMoose has the definitions for shonen-ai , etc. up on one of the threads.
I, too, have been slightly corrupted by ff.net., but it's nice to read a non- Boy's Love story too.
I haven't read any of your stories yet, but I will.

I was wrong, I had read two of your stories. The Waterfall Incident and What it Takes to be Alive. I liked both of them. The Waterfall Incident was the first Sanzo/Hakkai pairing I had ever read. It's not my favorite pairing, but your stories were both really good and I liked them. I espescially liked What it Takes to be Alive, with it's description of living versus being alive.
Read Falling Sakura and I REALLY liked this one. I like Gaiden and I love your idea of how Konzen and Tenpou met and how their lives were better for meeting Kenren and Goku.
Life in Heaven was also quite good, but it was sad to think that Sanzo, Hakkai and Gojyo were only memories for Konzen, Tenpou and Kenren to have.
Fire Melts Ice. Good story, well written, but no way in the world pairing (IMO). This is only the second fanfic that I've read with this pair. One of them would die in less than one week.
Mushroom and Chicken Soup is another good story with an unusual pairing. Loved the soup analogy for kissing, just can't quite see Hakkai with Goku.
Can't Take My Eyes Off of You and Falling Into You were both really good. I thought the lyrics for Falling into You were perfect for the story and loved Sanzo's lines, Like I have a choice. Your singing was horrible that it was impossible to block out the song and Though had it been your own words, I'd have probably listened.
Full Moon was good, but again an unusual pairing, and one that I've never even thought about. Nii Jienyi is just too creepy to think of him involved with Koumyo.
Will read more at a later time. Even though some of the pairings weren't to my taste, I really did enjoy all of the stories. They were well written and entertaining/amusing/thought provoking and touching.

Hello and welcome. (Man, that line is starting to sound repetitive, hm?)
I don't think I've read any of your fics, but I'll trot off to check them out now. *g*
I have to say I do enjoy a good sh-ai/yaoi fic, but not one of the badly written newbie author ones. Some people twist characters so much it's impossible to see those characters doing it! A well written het fic is ten times better.
I agree about Saiyuki and the endless pairings. *g*

Time for me to say welcome, too. I've got the same Saiyuki favorite as you. Hakkai fascinates me incredibly. But how can you not fall in love with an eversmiling, oh so polite, angsty, mass murderer? ;D But he's so hard to write, don't you think? I don't care if a story is Boy's Love or not, as long as it is well written and IC. Write what you like to read yourself, that's my advice.

I've read the two fics you recommended, and they were very good. I think I left a review already, if I didn't, it should be there soon.

I'm a little behind my schedule with reading fics, but I'm trying to catch up. Point is that I have you on my author alert and when I came to your post of 'His Ghosts' t wasn't there any longer. Weren't you satisfied with it? Are you going to rewrite it and post it again? Sorry, but I hate to think I have missed something you'ver written just because I'm behind with my reading.
