'ello!
I have really enjoyed reading your PoC fanfiction even though you are writing in that series at the moment.
The Pirate's Code has been a favorite fic of mine for quite a while. I particular like what you did with the multiple meanings of of the statement Anyone who falls behind... is left behind.
The other thing that really pulled at me was the imagery you conjured up of the aftermath of both Port Royal and Jack's heart and how you tied the two together.

^_______^!
It's been a while since I've thought about those fictions, but I'm glad they're still attracting attention! PotC was the fandom that really drew me back into writing again - I had written fanfiction off and on for almost ten years at that pont, though I rarely posted it online because I wasn't really aware of the demand. And then that lovely movie made it to the theatres, and the sailor in my DNA demanded release. ;D Nothing like a sexy sailor to make the creative juices flow, right? And I've been writing and typing my poor fingers to nubs since August last year, and this has been my longest creative surge to date.
When I wrote that story, if I remember correctly, I was a bit bored with the way a number of lines kept getting repeated, like Not all treasure is silver and gold and a number of others. But I thought that there were simply so *many* good lines in that movie that never got used - I actually threw a couple in there, though the line from the pirate's code is the most obvious one. And then I found out that Port Royal had been destroyed while I was looking up information about pirates and stuff, and it all clicked together one day after class. ^-^ It was very hard to write all that out by hand, btw, though I somehow managed to do it in three hours.
I've actually still got a few ideas put away some place if I ever get re-obsessed with our captain: a one-shot (that's actually mostly done) and an epic that will probably need revamping before I touch it again. At least it's good to know that they'll be well received if they ever do come out, eh? <3~!
