Anyway, Wilde, question #2: In the Morning After, you juxtapose Shinji Ikari (a boy destined and required to become a genocide) with Gonou Cho (a man who chose mass murder of his own - admittedly somewhat debased - will) via the image of the unfamiliar ceiling. Why, in your opinion, is Gonou reborn into compassion while Shinji is baptised into a life of further destruction?
