That was service time they announced on the 18th... You did read about that, didn't you?

Yeah, but the thing is I am way off in time differences. I figuered once that 5:05 am ff.net time is 8:05 pm my time. And I posted here last night...stuff still says last updated today by elven dreamer. So confusing that I don't bother any more. I see it written on ff.net in red, I read, I swear at the words "read-only" if my mum is nowhere near. If she is I settle for "shishkebabs".

JEE-SUSS!!! Okay, so it doesn't affect my stories at all, but I'm just finding it irritating that everything is getting screwed up. Damn, damn, damn. They really are having problems right now.

Note: If you have any links in your bio you are going to have to go and fix them.

The index page says they still have problems, but since I got an author alert today, and the story is there to read, I would say it's possible to upload stories again.

I feel so guilty that I haven't updated in *ages*!!
I used to be so addicted that every time I saw "read only" I'd also swear. ^^

A bit late, but I thought I'd share anyway. On the not-so-good side, ffnet seems to experience trouble. I've talked to some author-friends of mine, and it seems that there's a wide-spread problem with updating chapters and posting new stories. Let's just hope that this doesn't herald of disaster....

I've noticed a few problems with ffnet not allowing me to rename chapters, so I had to go back and remove the chapters, then repost them. I've had the same problem on Fiction Press.com, but it was bigger there because I had to remove and then repost eight chapters in Life of the Silver Tear. I hope that it doesn't do this when I replace chapter 16, because I don't want to have to remove everything from 16 to 33.

Hum.... this just took me awhile to read.
Is it okay if I point something out?
ff.net is a cyber part of the real world. its by a long shot, NOT perfect, and thus is WILL have problems, and to fix a problem on a website, I do believe it will become inaccessible by people.
Soooooo, don't complain about something you have no power over, just get over it and come read the new post people made here. Or start writing your next fic.
Oh, dear, I hope I didn't offend anyone.....

Hm... I've never thought of this thread as a complaining thread. To me it's an information thread. But I can go write fanfiction anyway.

It's mostly e-d swearing, actually ^^
But the time difference does make a few problems, though I wasn't much into ff.net at the time when it went down. I guess the things you miss the most are the things that are the things you take for granted.

I just think that ff.net gets so much grief as it is, but then. We all need to get our rants out of our systems every now and then. Since I'm new at this whole forum thing. I don't mean to upset anything, call is my personal disclaimer.
