I personally think that every time they update it, it gets worse. Sure it helps a bit, but I think that it does more harm than good. Anyway, I would like to hear other's opinion about this.

I use quick edit just one way: I upload a template in .txt format. That template contains exactly one word. Then, I open quick edit and copy-paste the entire content of the chapter from my word edit prrogram over to the quick-edit. For "double space rows", I insert "xx." For separating the AA/N and the end, I use the horizontal row that comes with the edit. Then I hit "safe", and check out the results. While I'm not very fond of the weirdness quick edit produces, I like the fact that I can still adjust my entry before posting it. It sure beats the manual work you have to do with other webpages.

Yeah, the idea behind QuickEdit was at least reasonably sound. And it is pretty funny rereading some older stuff and seeing how authors have to reformat chapters to suit QuickEdit...we'll call this one an exercise in adaptability

I just got a tip from my beta. If you want to separate scenes, you can use '==='. I haven't tried it myself yet, but I will do it tomorrow when I'm posting the last chapter of 'Cho Hakkai:Murderer?'. If it doesn't work I'll write something like '-x-X-x-'.

Hm... I'm not wildly fond of it myself, and I particularly dislike the lack of asteriks (since those are acceptable breakpoint marks in published works) but like others have said-- it's convenient. And it's a lot better than the old version, where if you wanted to make changed you had to bring up the document, fix it, delete what you uploaded on the Document Manager, then create a whole new file. x.x;

The idea behind QuickEdit is great, but it has far too many drawbacks. o It likes to randomly delete spaces (blank character place holders and lines) o It enjoys taking out convenient symbols that I might otherwise use for separators or to emphasize a word o And so on and so forth. Does anybody know about BakaBokken's "KQEC", on FanFiction.net? The word needs to go out.
