Hi! I write on ff.net under Me-Nuriko, but since the regsitration didn't let me register under that name. I took the name Nuriko instead. I rather go under Me-Nuriko, so if you can tell me how to change that I appreciate it.

Hi there and welcome! For registration ("username"), you can't use dashes or any other special characters. However, once you registered, you can change the name in your profile easily. Just follow these steps: - Go to "Profile". You will find that at the top bar, third or second item from the right. In the profile, you can also change other settings to your liking.
- In "Edit Profile", look for an item called "Name". It should be the fourth from the top, after "Username" and "Change & Verify Password".
- Type in the name as you like to see it displayed, complete with dashes or special characters. While your username doesn't change, you will still be named correctly for all users.
- Hit the "Change Profile" button at the bottom of the page. Mission acccomplisdhed.
I hope this helps. If there are still problems, just let me know. Lee

Thought this might fit under this subject...?
For your log-in name, it doesn't have to be the same as your fanfiction.net account name, right? The name that everyone sees is what has to match up? As am considering changing my account name at ff.net. >.<

The rule is: for registration, the username and the ffnet pen name has to be the same. If you want to change your ffnet-name (NOT registering a new one and keeping the old one), then it is an exception to the rule. You have already proven your identity before, and I will check if the new name really is taken by you. However, I'm asking that you please don't play "happy name rotation" every week, or the entire point of trying to keep an 'identity track' for an author would be moot. I hope that this answers your question.

Wondering.....
I was Slizziechan on ffnet. But about a month ago I changed it to S. Eerangel. And I go by that profile name now, do I need to change my user name from Slizziechan to S Eerandgel?
And if I do, how do I change it?

No, you don't need to change you username. As i said, I'm keeping track of the names used, and your email & pen name match. I'd just ask you to not change your pen name every 5 days or so, because once you change it, the board section belonging to the previous pen name will be removed.

Now that my co-writer (who chose the name and didn't end up posting anything anyway ) has well-and-truly, officially split with me, can I change my username back to my original name, sasateq?

Mmm.... Generally, there's no problem (unless someone else already uses your new name on ffnet), but the name you registered with ("jackieidaho") will remain the same. If you want to register the new name, and delete the old name, that would probably be the best way. I'll change your board section to your new account, then.
The questions are: - will "Jackie Idaho" as pen name cease to exist? If yes: - Is the pen name of "sasateq" registered to you on ffnet? if yes: - do you want to completely change to the new name (as registered user) or - do you want keep the registered name as it is, and just change the displayed name?
Please let me know.

Will "Jackie Idaho" as pen name cease to exist? Yep. Is the pen name of "sasateq" registered to you on ffnet? Yes If you want to register the new name, and delete the old name, that would probably be the best way. If that's best, then that's it. I expect that means I go and delete myself now?
Thanks for the help. =)

Okay, now that I've set up this account and deleted the old one, does that mean that you delete the old board? Frankly there wasn't much on it in the first place....

I've change the boardname from jackie idaho to sasateq, and gave you the modrights there. If you want a tagline, please let me know. As for posts... well, as they say "keep on advertising"
