Try taking a picture of your favorite character, print it out and trace it. Drawing is a lot like sports and martial arts. Lots of repeatative exercise, so that your mind gets down the subroutines to just do the movements necessary.
Dunno if that makes sense?

Sal - it totally makes sense, no worries Blood_Debt - Nobody's trying to intimidate, I promise I totally get where you're coming from on spur-of-the-moment drawings, too. Sometimes I just grab whatever media is nearby (usually my math homework ) For example, I had some time to kill so I doodled on a bit of sheet music (waiting for piano lesson) and it turned out to be something I really like. Yay for spur-of-the-moment and awesome songs on the radio. ;D Hello, Hello - I'm at a place called Vertigo / it's everything I wish I didn't know / but you gave me something / I can feeeeeeeeeel! The sky! is full! of holes! *headbang*

When I draw on my school books, they turn out to a) be something I like, then I rub it out before my teacher sees, or b) It isn't very good and I rub it out. Thanks for all the advice, people say my drawing has improved. A little anyway.
