Hi!
I'm immensely enjoying your story "Cho Hakkai: Murderer"... but since that is nearing it's end, I have a question. ;D
Have you any other stories planned? And if yes, what will it or they be about?

You know, I'm extremely flattered that you like "CHo Hakkai: Murderer?" There are three more chapters left, and the one coming up next is filled with... let's call it pain. Anyway, I'm writing a FAKE story at the moment, but I'm a terribly slow writer, and I'm in the habit of not posting my stories before they are finished. That's because I don't want my readers to be hanging if I, for some reason, don't finish my story. I've written about ten pages so far, and I haven't even reached the plot yet! So far it's kind of sappy, but there will be a plot, I promise. But maybe my muse tells me to write another Saiyuki story, too. 'How to Make Hakkai Smile' just suddenly popped up in my head and demanded to be written. That's how it usually is, for me anyway. In the last chapter of 'Cho Hakkai...', the scene when Goku testified, was totally unplanned by me. I had some vague idea that Gojyo would testify. When I was writing I discovered that the judge didn't let Gojyo testify, and I was so surprised when Goku exclaimed he wanted to testify. I had absolutely no idea what he was going to say, but it was not a problem, he just talked and I wrote it down. It's the truth. I'm waiting very eagerly for your updates. I love both 'Simply Love' and 'Slaves of Fates', but especially the latter. Unfortunately I know nothing about 'Full Metal Panic' so I can't read 'Abyss'. Me-Nuriko

Pain, huh? ;D I understand the thing about being stuck. I had writer's block for quite a while, and if it hadn't been for the Saiyuki guys (who can resist 'em? )... So you're doing a FAKE story? I haven't looked much into the manga yet, but I've heard that it's pretty good. What other stuff do you like, except for Saiyuki and FAKE? That Goku-scene was brilliant, btw. He's the one who would pull such a stunt, and you gave him just the right words. Not to mature, not too childish. I love his little speech from Reload Ep 22 (Manga 8) too pieces. Still a child, but boy, he's the most mature of all of them, sometimes. "How to Make a Hakkai Smile" was fun to read. I still have the vivid image of Gojyo floating in the street (manga-sytle) in the back of my mind. I suggested that story to some friends of mine who don't read any shonen-ai and were desperately looking for Saiyuki stuff. Slaves... I started writing on chapter 2 yesterday, and did some fixes to the prologue and the first chapter. There will be lots of suffering, yeeees. Lee

Resist the Saiyuki guys? Of course no one can resist them! Well, I think I've heard something about people 'from the outside world' can, but I don't know much about them. Glad you came out from the writers block. I wouldn't want to wait in vain for your stories. FAKE, yes. I love it! Dee and Ryo are so wonderfully cute together! squeek Well, what else do I like? The only manga/anime I've written anything for, except Saiyuki, is GetBackers. I have written six GB stories, but the first ones are not very good, a little funny or seet maybe, but no master pieces. I can hardly choose between Saiyuki and GB. They are both wonderful. Have you read/seen GB? The manga is better than the anime after the first books, but the anime is not bad. And sadly enough is the English translation in the manga very bad. At least in the first three books. There is a new translator from the 4th one, so we'll see if that's get any better. The first anime I got hooked on was Fushigi Yuugi, it was the first romance story I've ever liked. Next one was Inu-Yasha. I also love Full Metal Alchemist. Another manga I like is Gravitation. I'm not very found of the anime, though. At least not the first DVD, that's the only one I have seen. I saw on your ff.net profile that you have written quite many stories for Transformers and DBZ. Transformers I only know the basic stuff about, but I've read all the Dragon Ball manga. I thought them were entertaining but not very good. It was the first manga that was translated to Swedish, though. I've just seen the first ten eps of .hack//sign and found them pretty good. You've got any other favorites then those you have written about? Glad you liked the Goku scene. Goku's speech in manga 22, yes, that's a classic. He's absolutely wonderful there. I've recommended your stories to two of my friends, too. I'm so happy you've started next chapter of 'Slaves of Fate'. I'm so looking forward to it.

Oh, I love Get Backers! I actually do a Saiyuki/Get Backers crossover fan manga at the moment. Ban-chan and Sanzo can't stand each other, though. I wonder, why. The local translation of the Get Backers manga is pretty good, and I hardly can wait for the next issue! I prefer the way Ginji is portrayed in the manga over how he is in the anime. But I still marvel at how they get their jobs done. Talk about 'no plan'. FMA rocks! And I love Miroku and Sesshoumaro. Fushigi Yuugi isn't bad, but I prefer Juuni Kokki. That's probably because I'm a background work freak, and those people spent a lot of work on developing the background. Of course, Keiko has a little bit to do with that, too. Dragonball... The only reason that made me stick to that show was Piccolo. I really didn't like most of the show, and the fights bored me into oblivion... but the character pieces in between were great. I liked the little cliche story about 'small kid undoes evil guy' that went on between Gohan and Piccolo. *sigh* I wrote stuff for "Magnificent Seven", but that is stored under a different pen name, MooseTV. Other than that, there are several Star Trek stories, a 'Captain Scarlet & The Mysterons' story, some 'Red Dwarf' and 'Dr. Who' pieces as well... and my very first fanfic was for a show named "Raumpatrouille". However, none of that is posted, because it's not really good. And it's not in English, either. ;D New shows... Samurai Champloo and Samurai 7 are definately worth a good look. Lee

Oh, yes, I remember now that it was on your profile that Saiyuki/GB crossover. Sorry, I forgot when I asked if you had read it. Ban and Sanzo, heheh. I can imagine them together, and you're right, it doesn't work out well. I once had some idea about a Saiyuki/GB crossover, too, but so far nothing has been done about that idea. My last GB fic, got quite good reviews. It was my first multichapter story and it was so funny to write. To my last two stories (Cho Hakkai... and How to Make...) I had a super beta reader. It really helps, since I repeatadly makes the same mistakes when writing in English, over and over. I agree, GInji in the manga is better portraited then in the anime. Especially in the later books. I'm not very good at Japanese, but I have someone close who is almost fluent and she has been reading the Japanese manga to me. And I, like you, don't understand how they can keep the story going in such a good way. As you say, it's like they find things out at the moment, no planning at all. You've written so many things. I'm new to this, even if I have been a fangirl all my life, long before I knew the term. I used to 'write' stories inside my head, but I never wrote them down, because they were self insertions and even when I was a kid, I was ashamed of how childish that seemed. But I still did it. It was the only way to keep a dull life a little more interesting. Finding that are other people like me out in the world was really something big to me. I thought I was some weirdo and that there were no other who thought like me. God, I'm getting pathetic here. I really got to go to bed, like now! I just got to say. I love your idea with the noticeboard.

Ban-chan and Sanzo... I'd like to do an all-out insult warfare between the two. They sure are both sarcastic enough, and Ban can probably outrun Sanzo and/or his bullets. A good beta works miracles. My English sucks royally as well, so I know where you come from. It isn't fun to use all the wrong vocabulary because the mind translated different from what should be in the language. And don't even get me started about grammar. The positive things about the Get Backers anime are Ban-chan and Akabane. I *so* love Akabane in the anime, with his smooth/ironic voice and all. Add in the gory little details they fussed over in the anime, and he'd even scare the living daylights out of Hakkai. I preferer Ban's slightly more mature attitude in the anime, though I have to admit that Ihaven't read enough of the manga to know if his goofball style carries through to the later issues. It shouldn't, seeing as how the character developes. Don't worry about numbers. You write very good, and you've only just begun. Quantity is one thing, but in the end, it's the quality that makes a fic stick out, and what makes readers coming back for more. Lee

I really should be sleeping. Four hours are not enough for me, and I'll be working tonight again. I wonder how Sanzo wold react to Ban's Evil Eye? ;D I bet Ginji and Goku would get along just fine, though. My favorite in GB is Ban, but I, for some reason, also love Kazuki. Akabane is scary, but he does have something in common with Hakkai. They both are smiling mass-murderers. ^_^;; (There's a smiley that can be usesful.) Hakkai is my favorite in Saiyuki, but I also think he's the hardest to write. By the way, how many GB manga have you read? You said you have read the local translation, but I have no idea what language you're talking about, and don't know how many mangas that are translated into that language. I've heard that the French translation is very good, but your name doesn't sound French, even though that doesn't have to mean anything. Oh, it sounds like I'm prodding, right? Well, I didn't really mean it that way. But how many mangas have you read? Anyway, since I know you've started with next chapter of 'Slaves...' I'm so eager to read it. I hope you'll post it soon.

Shesh!!! Sleep. Gather strength. Lack of sleep will make you cranky like Sanzo. Jagan and Sanzo... that really should be interesting. I read Naruto a while a go, and there's this character who can create a similar effect to the Jagan... I do have a few story ideas there, in concern to Sanzo. If you go by canon, Sanzo should fall under the spell, i.e. if he's not aware that he's 'hypnotized'... if he is, he would probably fight off the illusion pretty fast. It would, in any case, be an interesting fight of will power. Ginji and Goku should really get along well, and I think that Ban and Gojyo wouldn't have any problems, either - what with Ban's skirt chasing and all. Kazuki's cool. Funny enough, his voice actor is the same as Goku's. Sometimes, you can hear that, i.e. when Goku's not in whiny mode but talking more 'normal'. Hakkai sure is tough to write. There's a dark hole in that character, and the anger/murder is just lurking under the surface... the 'cut' between the nice person and the youkai isn't as clear as with Goku. I think I would go insane sooner or later. I sometimes wonder if he's an alcoholic, or if he's just able to stomach alcohol better as a youkai. Seeing how much he can drink without being even remotely 'drunk'... I thought about doing a story about that aspect, but I'm not sure about it yet. I wouldn't put it beyond Hakkai to seek his 'peace of mind' at the bottom of a bottle, though... GB Mangas, read 1 & 2 in my native language. They have more out in a monthly magazine (I think, they are half-through with what's out in Japan), but the compilations only come out every couple of months. And no, I'm not from France, but from one of France's eastside neighbours. The brew a lot of beer here, too. Lee

Kazuki and Goku have the same voice actor, huh?
...
;D Inspiration just struck Karot with a big, heavy hammer. Once she recovers, she's going to go write things. ;D

Ah, there's another Jagan user (or similar) in Naruto? I ve only read the first Manga, but I kind of liked it. Oh, yeah, a battle of will power between Sanzo and Ban. Definitely interesting. I'm not sure, but I think I put my bet on Sanzo, though. ;D You can easily hear Golu and Kazuki has the same voice actor if you listen to the songs. It's harder to do different voices when you sing. Hakkai an alcoholic. Oh, no, it fits to well! Damned, I'm always going to have that thought in my mind now . Seriously though, you're right, he could be. It does fit. And about your (OptiMoose) nationality. Guess we're more or less neighbours then. Glad to hear KarotsaMused got struck by inspiration. Go, karot, write more!

Yes, there are actually 3 users of the trait. And they can make people go through infinte 'inner time' of seeing whatever they want them to see. Two of the characters, who have the feature, used it against each other, but in the end, the guy with the higher will power won and the loser was a vegetable for quite a while after that. It made me wonder what would happen if Ban uses his Jagan for more than just a bit FX... what would happen if he uses it to destroy a person? So you think that the idea is usable? I'll put it on my 'to write' list, then. Right after the Goku-birthday story and maybe I'll answer to that challange by Diva-Urd about writing a story where Sanzo turns demon... Oh yeah, and not to forget, the story where Gojyo & Hakkai enter driving school to get their driver's license. Well, then again, that one's more fun in my head than written out. After all, we're not dealing with Son Goku & Piccolo here. Nationality: Yep. Just one country and the sea more or less 'between' us.

Makes me want to see a crossover GB/Naruto, too. Yes, of course it's a usable idea. But you have so many ideas, I'm getting envious. Well, okay, I've got a lot of ideas myself. only they are quite vague. Had Diva-Urd a challenge about turning Sanzo into a youkai? Must have missed that. Not that I will answer to it, probably, but those challenges often help my imagination. 'How to Make Hakkai Smile' actually popped into my head after I had read about Pervasive Threnody's challenge. It didn't fit the rules of the challenge, but the challenge had got me thinking, and that was what come up. Anyway, I've read quite a few stories where Sanzo turns into a youkai. Some better, some worse. At least two let Sanzo become a youkai, so he could live an eternal life with Goku. I don't really get that. Maybe Goku will live forever, but as far as I know there is nothing in the manga that says youkai are immortals. Have you found anything that says they are?

A GB/Naruto crossover? mmm... that would sure be interesting, at least for crossing the characters. Though, I can't think about any reasonable plot for such a crossover... Oh, wait! They come and visit the Saiyuki guys in Karot's BreakRoom. Yes, she has it up on her author bios page. Story ideas: You know... I can give you detailed story ideas in no time. That's pretty much the only thing I'm good at, taking an idea and turning it into a usable plot. Writing the idea is a different matter. And I've swatted so many plot bunnies by now... it's only a matter of time until I grow bunny ears and a fluffy tail myself. Demons living forever: uh, not to my knowledge. Sanzo in the original Saiyuki consumed some fruit (or juice thereof) that gave him eternal life, just like the gods. In our Saiyuki, nothing is mentioned wheter Goku has eaten that fruit or not. All that is said was that his time was stopped during imprisonment. Maybe that is another one of those misunderstandings, because the guys often say about each other that "they can't be killed anyway, and even if they could be killed..." However, if my grasp on that particular saying is correct, then it merely refers to that the peeps are really tough, and "no one kills them, but me" - in that protective male friendship style of wording. Because, if they really couldn't die, then all that worrisome behaviour the youkais show (just take Kougaiji and his gang, they almost do bite it on more than one occasion, and Yaone tried to kill herself). And the fact that Homura had to grant the demon king and his followers eternal life in his arc doesn't support the theory, either. It's clearly fanon, IMO. Oi, just noticed... you're Scorpio? I'm Saggitarius. ;D Does that mean we have to hurl insults at each other like Gojyo and Sanzo, now? *snickers*
