The First Annual Writer's Contest is based on your 42 Days entries. Here's how it works: - The Writer's Contest begins with the first day of submission for '42 Days Contest #4' and ends with the last day of voting for '42 Days Contest #8'.
- You 'sign up' for the contest by leaving a post in this thread. You can sign up until the final day of the contest.
- You need to participate in at least three of the contests marked for the Writer's Contest.
- Your three best overall results will be added, and divided by three. The best overall average wins.
There are real prizes involved in this contest! - 1st prize:

I hope I'm doing this right. I already posted my story under challenge 4 but from what I gathered, to be eligible for the First Annual Writers Contest, I have to post my story on this thread as well. If I misunderstood, please forgive me. Here it is: Author: Otakuprincess Title: The Dance Fandom: Fruits Basket Rating: PG Genre: Shojo/romance Summary: The same scenario seen from both Yuki and Kyo's point of view. The upcoming dance is fast approaching; will either of the boys ask Tohru to the dance? URL: www.fanfiction.net/s/2341345/1/

Ah, no. You just need to make a post here saying "I want to take part in the annual contest". However, no problem at all since your post basically said that. Good luck with the next 5 challenges!

Ah... you already signed up for the annual contest. There's no need to sign up twice.
The Annual Contest is an 'overall' contest made up from the results of your entries in the Contests # 4-8.
Good luck.

I'd better make it official. I would like to sign up for the First Annual Writer's contest. Without the message board I probably would have never posted a single story. (I'm not sure I should thank you or blame you. ;D ;D) Thank you for the enjoyment it has given me.

The packages with the prizes are in the mail and should arrive within 7 days (or so the guy at the post office said). Also, since it's Saint Martin's day soon, I've added some chocolate to the prize. Happy feasting.
