Well, for anyone who is interested, I have finally finished typing up chapter 12 of 'Disorted Mirror'. Finally managed to sit down and work past the problem I was having with it and it should be up in a couple of days. There is no way I can post it now as I haven't had a chance to even look over what I have typed yet and I know there will be a gazillion typos etc in there. And since it is 12.50am and I have to be up at 5 am, well... not tonight, thats for sure. Besides I do better when I come at it another day or two after I type it up, I am more likely to notice problems by waiting for a while. Be warned, Gojyo torture and a little crack coming up

*grins* Ten minutes to one am and I am still up... I dunno... I'm glad you are looking forward to the Gojyo torture. Parts were fun to write (the crack parts anyway) ARGH! Off to bed before I end up sick when I have to get in in just over three hours...

I'm currently reading "Saiyuki- Journey to the West", the novel on which both series are based upon. But I have followed the story so far (even though I almost dropped out of it at one point when the 'non-shonenai' threatened to turn into something else), and I'm enjoying the interaction between the two groups. It's funny to see how Monkey and Pig's jealousy concerning their master causes them to do all kind of nasty stuff to each other. Poor Triptika, travelling with that group for such a long time must've been hellish. In the novel, Sanzang shows more and more personality streaks that strongly remind about Sanzo. Though, Sanzang gets stripped nakid more often than Sanzo does. Going by the description given of the monk, I wouldn't really want to see him, but Sanzo stripped a few times more often, now, that wouldn't be too bad. ;D

Nuh! There is not going to be ANY shounen ai in 'Distorted Mirror' sorry about going a little too far for your tastes in the hints though. I enjoy writing hints but am uncomfortable with going much further even if a couple of the other fics do (not that there is any detail because there is not a chance that I will go there). But others I have in mind wont have any. It just depends on the story I think and what it seems to call for. I can hardly wait to finish typing this one up now so I can concentrate on other ideas There is a book I HAVE to go read. A friend sent me a copy over the net but I haven't gotten past the intro. Too long winded... I think I will just have to skip the intro and go straight to the story. Tripitaka seems to enjoy the travelling most of the time, she certainly laughs enough at times along with getting very much annoyed and sometimes angry at Monkey for his violence and killing. But I have never seen him naked, tied up and in chains a lot, but never naked (luckily) but considering he is pretty good looking, I'm sure some wouldn't mind seeing that. Then again, considering the show (the english dub anyway) is PG rating, it wasn't going to happen. That and it was from the late 70's/early 80's.

"A book"? The version of Saiyuki I'm reading has 2000+ pages... Yes, Sanzang gets captured by youkais on a regular base. Sometimes, Pig or Sandmonk get captured along with him, and it's usually Monkey who has to free them. I really liked the "Red Boy" arc. That finally was a worthy opponent for Monkey. Anyway, as the evil guys all want to eat Sanzang, he gets stripped and washed. Then they keep him hanging around for a couple of hours. Poor guy is in tears most of the time. As for good looks, I don't know. The original Sanzang is described as "fat, elderly, pale, round faced with long earlobes". Apparently that was a beauty ideal back then...

*smiles* Well, I say a book but its a pdf file or something like that anyway so I have no idea how many pages the copy I have is. Will have to sit down and find the time to read which means while at my computer, that part could be fun since I get distracted by so many other things as my computer is on the net 24/7. Just briefly, what is the 'Red Boy' arc about? I can't comment on what the characters looked like in the original all I know is waht they look like in Saiyuki and Monkey. I may have to try and find out how to put stuff on the web space I have with my internet provider so I can put a few screen caps from Monkey up. I took some awhile back just to show someone what they looked like and still have them. There are very few episodes that Tripitaka does not get captured. *giggles* Heck there was one episode that I know I mentioned in my authors notes for 'Distorted Mirror' called 'The Land of Nightmares' where all four got captured and it was actually Tripitaka who got them out through trickery. That one I loved! Basically he supposedly prayed to have the sun 'taken' away which had all the monsters begging for its return. As you can probably guess, there was a total solar eclipse that day and somehow Tripitaka was the only one who knew about it But anyway it sounds like the original Sanzang is something of a wimp... Tripitaka comes across more strongly in that he doesn't cry about it and sticks closely to his beliefs. *snickers* I love the No-Violence philosophy he has though, its so hypocritic. He is continually telling the other three no violence (especially Monkey) but thats what they were told to join Tripitaka for, to protect him and against the bad guys there are bound to be fights so what do you do? Trickery wont work everytime.
