I'm back! I'm trying to get back into writing Crossing the Rubicon. I decided that with all the changes I'd need to make to the story, it was completely different than the one that I began, so I deleted it from FF.net.
The problem is, I have two points in the Inuyasha series in which I could start it. The first is where it started the first time, some time after Inuyasha defeats the bat youkai and unlocks the red Tetsusaiga (or Tessaiga, I still don't know how the Huragana would be properly written so I'm not sure if the "tsu" character would be large or small).
The second option is shortly after Kagura helps Mouryoumaru escape. I was hoping on writing it at this point, so I'd be able to use Kagura, Mouryoumaru, and push a few other things I wouldn't be able to at a much earlier point in the series, but my knowledge of the series has a gap. I know plenty about Mouryoumaru (him being my favorite character), but I haven't had the opportunity to read the whole manga, and I only discovered Ear-Tweak after it reached Mouryoumaru's creation, and I've been keeping up ever since. Because of this, there are a few information gaps that could be extremely important:
And a few others. Yes, I admit that these are quite a few of blanks. I'm just wondering, should I go ahead and write with the diamond-spears and Mouryoumaru and all that, or should I follow the old addage "Write what you know" and restrict some of the capabilities and characters and write from an earlier point in the series?
Either helping me get the information somehow, or helping me decide on which of the two series-points to start Crossing the Rubicon in would help. Thank you for your time and help.

- I don't know the specifics of Inuyasha unlocking the "diamond-spear" attack.
- I don't know the specifics of Naraku creating his third body on the mountain "huro-something-or-other".
- I don't know much of anything about Kikyou's two child-like helpers, I believe called "shinigami", especially their creation (or if they just popped into existance, like Kagura and Kanna did earlier in the series)
