This is my 'Author Summary', or, an 'about me'.
I'm Lee/OM/Moose. I do have a real name, of course, but I prefer to be called by one of the three nicknames online/amongst fellow fans.
I'm 35 years old, female and a non-native English speaker. I'm 1,69 m (roughly 5' 7'') tall, have short brown hair, and brown eyes. I'm shortsighted and wearing glasses.
Hobbies: Travelling, writing, reading, good food, music.
I love spending time with my friends & family.
I'm a huge fan of Jackie Chan's movies, though I haven't seen all yet. Favorite actors are Gregory Peck, Burt Lancaster, Nicholas Cage, Alan Rickman, Scott McNeil and Danny Kaye.
I like scifi, action/adventure and fantasy, but also romance and documentary, not to forget cartoon and anime. Most on the time, I watch documentaries, ie the BBC ones are really good. Then I usually go and do some research of my own on the topics if I have the time.
Research is also one of my 'loves'. I can get totally lost in an interesting topic.
I read through half the public library of my howetown when I was a kid, but after switching to English novels and fact books, my reading speed now is considerably down.
Writing... I usually write angsty stuff with a bit of humour in it. I usually stick to canon, since I feel that this is my way to honour the creation of another author/artist. I mean, I know how I feel about my original characters&universes, and if someone would totally twist them, it would make me... sad.
Which leads me to the topic of boy's love. I only write boy's love/shonen-ai/yaoi when it is officially canon.
I *do* write smarm, which is deep friendship/love, but without the sexual interest that is the origin and fuel of boy's love/shonen-ai/yaoi. Strictly platonic, so to speak.
Think about it like this: for me, writing a non-canon pairing, the characters would be like telling me to start lusting after my best friend. It's just... not there. Of course, that is my personal feeling. So, no sweat.
I'm in the process of writing my second original novel. The first is callled "Remetsh Legacy" and was co-written with my friend. It is published as book-on-demand.
I love all kinds of food, as long as it isn't squishy-salty, or still alive. I'm willing to kill my food before I consume it. I like experimenting with new restaurants (or, try the cuisine in different countries). My cooking style is very Gojyo-ian (open pot, add in all available ingrediences from the fridge, close pot, heat, use spices). Ketchup is my friend.
Well... that's all for the moment, I think. In the unlikely event of you being interested to learn more, just feel free to ask.
