Since Thanksgiving is an American holiday, and I've always wondered what your turkey with stuffing tasted, is anyone willing to share a recipe?

Stuffing in the turkey is quite good. Though, we don'r make our own stuffing. We just use Stove Top, though with the turkey juces, it's great.
Did I make any sence, I hope I did.

Sure I'll type up a recipe when I get home.
you make sense to me VG Terra ;D
Yupe it is the Turkey juices that make stuffing so good. If you have good chicken or turkey stock you can do stuffing in a cassarole dish sans the bird and it will come out just as good.

In my house we get to make two stuffings. One for my daughter, who's a vegetarian, and another for the rest of the family. I can't use Stove Top because it has chicken broth/fat in it. My favorite breadcubes to use are the sourdough ones. To the non-vegetarian stuffing I add chicken broth, spices, mushrooms, onions, and sausage. For hers I use a vegetable broth, mushroons and onions. I always use a caserole dish to make the stuffing. If I've run out of oven space, Stuffing works just as well in the microwave. More important than the food, or the decorations, is the 26 people in the Smith family that will be gathering together on this day.

Is there a difference between Thanksgiving turkey and Christmas turkey? Stuffings? Sizes? I am reminded of Mr. Bean stuffing a turkey in a movie... the one where he lost his watch inside...
Over here, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving - not even in the American Schools. I don't think I even know when Thanksgiving is! However, it is Hari Raya/Puasa here (when Muslims end their month long fasting), and soon to be Deepavali. Then, Christmas, and right after that, Chinese New Year! That's when we all have the biggest get together. Both Western and Eastern festivals are accepted here - and both mean holidays off school. *Woowoo!!!*

Blood_Debt, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November. The 25th this year. This website has some of the basic information on the Holiday. wilstar.com/holidays/thanksgv.htm It's a holiday most of us celebrate because it crosses culture and religion. However, most of us know little of it's history besides the *First Thanksgiving*. I took the test before reading and scored very low. Did better after I read the story. ;D Thanksgiving has some pretty traditional foods, but I think what you eat on Christmas is more culturally based and/or what you like to eat. In my house we have Lasagna, for my vegetarian daughter, with the Meatballs on the side. I refuse to work hard on Christmas, so I make everything the day before and just pop it in the oven on Christmas.

As I read through here, that song kept running though my head, the one from Rogers and Hammerstein Cinderella?
::sings:: In my own little corner, in my own little chair/ I can be whatever I want to be...::
Very apropos. Thank you for the wonderful welcome. You do a good job making us feel loved. ::runs off to find the song now that it's stuck in her head::

*cocks and eyebrow at you, or rather attempts to, and then fails because I've never been able to raise one eyebrow independent of the other*
Are you doing okay? Do you have enough plot bunnies to keep you warm under there?

but hey here in your corner you can curl up and rest. Just have to do it mentally. Because here you can have a cheerful fire (helpful to burn nasty reviewers) and a comfy couch and pillows and of course a nice quilt to pull over Your head! And of course us nut cases that are your friends to come over and pester you!
