Oh, that's cruel. Goku should be glad Sanzo can't use his limiter to punish him. Poor Goku, he would be in pain all the time if Sanzo used it as frequently as he uses the harisen. (Actually the idea reminds me of 'Ai no Kusabi'.)
Yeah, Hakkai being kidnapped by Hakuryuu. It's a great idea!
About killing humans. I guess that depends on the circumstances. If the human was strong enough or otherwise had some means to kill one in the Sanzo-ikkou, and the only option to save him was to kill the human, then I don't think anyone of them would object. They do kill youkai to survive, and it can't be any difference if the enemy is a human.
They returned to heaven in the original story? Interesting. In the original, did they know about their heavenly forms when they lived on earth? Makes me hope our Sanzo-ikkou can live eternal (happy!) lives together in Tenkai, after the journey.

I guess, Sanzo would sometimes like the punishment-version.
You're perfectly right, of course. So, how would the reaction be if it was just an innocent person, happening to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time?
Yes, I think they remembered at least partially who they were. Though, if you go by the original, Hakai (or rather, Gojyo), will end up cleaning temples and not a high celebrity

*giggles* I love these doodlings of yours.
Ouch, I do hope Saiyuki doesn't end with either of them having to clean temples.
I wonder why Hakkai and Gojyo switched personalities in Saiyuki compared with the original story?

Laughter and tears.
What a nice reward after 8 1/2 hours with 22 children, ages 4 - 12.
Thank you. I couldn't close the page. Every time I looked at it, I started laughing again. My Husband came up to see what was so funny. He smiled, chuckled and shook his head.

Glad you liked the doodling. I bought myself an 8B pencil (extra soft) that gives more black to the picture than the 2B I usually use for sketching. It makes quite a lot of difference for shading.
Why Hakkai and Gojyo were switched? No clue, maybe just for the 'shock' effect this would have on the expecting reader?

Oi... the more I read of the original "Saiyuki", the worse my story ideas get. I'm totally fascinated by the book, and the characterizations. Oh, and Shanzang becomes more and more like Sanzo. The only hue difference is that the Tang monk is a cry baby.
Oh, and there was that really amusing scene in "Monkey King: Quest for the Sutras" (one of the countless live action version of the tale), in which Gyuumao finds out that the pillow his son uses is actually a magic interface to the "Demon Dating Service"....

Ok I had this thought today. I am no where near ready to handle the Boys in a story. But I had this idea and the title for it should be.
"Funny thing happened on the way to the bath" Mainly it had to do with what would happen if Poor Goyjo got the wrong shampoo in a bath. So that these things could happen. 1 his hair turns an insane color. 2 he accidentally used perm stuff (less proabable but can you imagine shirly temple curls!). 3 Bathus Interuptus.
Well since there is no way I could write this I thought I would share it with the talents wandering around here. IT also got me to thinking of well yes I like to pick on kappa boy. But what could happen to the rest of the gang? I mean really it isn't as if we all don't like to see them in less clothing.
GO forth bunnies!!!!

Changing hair color and perm stuff are actually pretty strong chemicals that need to be applied for a longer time period to work... and the perm stuff basically (and very loosely explained) "dissolves" the hair matrix, and when it's washed out (and used with heat&those hair-curly-wurly-things), the hair "restructures" in the new form. color changing stuff has to apply for a minimum of 5 minutes for the non-permanent stuff, and a minimum of 20-25 minutes for the more permanent stuff. And a perm, that ranges between 30-45 minutes...
So, it wouldn't work, unless they have some experimental hair stuff courtesy of Dr. Nii. Alas... you could give Gojyo a "day at the hairdresser"... and have an evil youkai hairdresser lady show up and play havoc on his hair

Ah, and it sounded like so much fun to do that to him. See, I know nothing about perms and hair color, but I could just picture it. Gojyo is so vain about his hair, maybe it could get chopped off unevenly during a fight, or frizzed out if he's zapped by a nearby lightening strike. Close enough to make it stand on end, but not to really hurt him.

Don't you think he went through enough torture in GMS what with having magenta hair? I refuse to call it pink!
Though it would make an amusing fic....
Ahhh!!! You're corrupting me! Bad as OptiMoose. Soon I'll be getting comedy plot bunnies.

One, it was pink! But I think his pants were worse than the pink hair.
Two, can You see him if he got a bad perm. remember what they did with the bowl cut on the urasai from reload?
Not as funny as the picture of Sanzo with a line of hair gone down the middle in a reverse mohawk but close.

Magenta/pink hair? Are you certain that it's not the different TV system that makes the color look different? Because, the color pretty much matches the manga one in Gensoumaden...
LOL, cesmith... Bad-hair-day Gojyo... I might use that one for a doodling someday
Salma: Write! write!
therhoda: Sanuo... reverse... mowhawk? *plonk* Where did you find that pic? And yes, the Urusei rocks Still not as good as SAnzo-the rendeeir, though

Yes, Sanzo's reindeer is one of my favorites. Someday I'm going to put a picture to go with my name and just rotate the Urusai pictures that I have. As I get tired of one I'll replace it with another. I like the scarf one too. .. and the mitten one and the sad one where Hakkai's packing and the others are just watching TV.
I remember reading somewhere (probably on The Journey to the Rest website) that they had toned Gojyo's hair down to the pinkish color and the blood that was supposed to be dripping off Hakkai's hands in the opening before the original Saiyuki ever aired. Didn't want to upset the children.
Doodles! I love OptiMooses Doodles. I really do have them printed out and on my wall near the computer. They make me smile.
There's a really cute fanfiction story that "explains" the pants and the rest of the outfit. The story is called My Style and the author's name is Zimus. It's rated G.

Just thought of a way for Gojyo's permanent solution to stay in long enough. He's at the bath, hair all lathered up and in come some demons to fight. He's alone so it takes longer to defeat them, or he's with one of the other's and gets knocked out (if it's a comedy you could use the old slip on a bar of soap gag), so it stays in longer.
I love the thought of it all tightly curled and tangled.
